Rebel is about practicing what matters most: being human, finding joy in the way we live, and remembering how deeply we belong to one another.
We gather in extraordinary places because stepping outside the familiar invites us into adventure, curiosity, connection, and experiences that bring us closer to ourselves and one another.
Our retreats are living sanctuaries for radical belonging and radical optimism, within ourselves and in the world around us.

Come home with us. We are so excited to bring you to our homeland.
Marcela and I grew up exploring this extraordinary region, and we are so thrilled to finally share it with you.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its remarkable blend of preserved culture and protected landscapes, this retreat unfolds in a place where history, nature, and community dance together in rare balance.
Nestled between the Atlantic Rainforest and the waters of Saco do Mamanguá, Aldeia Rizoma is a hidden sanctuary immersed in the wild beauty of Paraty.
Inspired by ancestral Indigenous wisdom and architecture, its villas live in quiet dialogue with the forest, while a freshwater river runs through the land, a place designed for simplicity, connection, and a slower rhythm of living.

Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Atlantic Forest, where jungle, beach and mountains meet.
From the historic streets of Paraty, to coastal hikes in Trindade, to the untamed stillness of Saco do Mamanguá, the only tropical fjord in Brazil, and trekking to magical waterfalls, each experience invites you deeper into the wild and into yourself.
The easiest way to reach Aldeia Rizoma is to fly into Rio de Janeiro.
We’ll gather in Ipanema on Saturday morning, where our private transfer will pick us up for the journey to Paraty and Aldeia Rizoma. The drive takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, and round-trip transportation between Ipanema and the retreat is included.
Because our transfer leaves Saturday morning, you’ll need to be in Ipanema by Friday at the latest. We strongly recommend giving yourself at least one full day in Rio before departure to allow for any flight delays or cancellations.
Please note: our group transfer begins and ends in Ipanema, not at the airport, so plan your flights and your stay in Rio accordingly.
And really, an extra day in Ipanema is never a bad way to begin a week in Brazil.
Comfort in a wild environment is at the heart of Aldeia Rizoma. The forest houses are thoughtfully designed to exist in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem, offering a rare balance of comfort, privacy, and deep immersion in nature.
Rather than selecting a specific room, simply choose the accommodation category that feels most aligned for you and let us know any special requests, such as if you are traveling with someone, a preferred villa, a roommate, room accessibility, or other considerations. We will do our very best to honor your wishes while thoughtfully curating each space.
If you are booking a shared room, you may be paired with someone who becomes a lifelong friend, or perhaps reunited with someone you have already connected with on a past adventure. We use a little intuition, a little experience, and a lot of heart when bringing people together, and time and time again the magic unfolds.
Our intention is that your experience feels supportive, comfortable, meaningful and deeply connected.
Write to us and we will share the categories still open.
